Pierre-Yves MATERNE graduated with a degree in law from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) in 1998. After he completed his law studies, he continued his career as researcher in the domain of the Christian social ethics both in Belgium and abroad, gaining experience in different international centers (Berlin, Durham/USA, Paris). These researches resulted in his PhD thesis in 2009. In 2011, he became member of the Brussels Bar and associate at "Philippe & Partners" - Brussels.
